The Easter holidays will see Red Events hosting a cartoon festival on Saturday this week at Maseru Preparatory School grounds in Maseru West from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm.

Among other fun games that will be played on that day are:  colour powdering, go karts, mascots, quad bikes, sing along competitions and many more.

In an interview with theReporter, the chief executive officer of Red Events, who is also the coordinator of the event Monare Rannyane explained that, the cartoon festival is a kiddies’ event that exercises and feeds the curious and inquisitive mind of toddlers and infants with games and activities carried in the cause of the day.

What makes it unique is that Red Events focuses more on child well-being and good upbringing for every child as that is the crucial part of every human being.

“Cartoon festival series started in December last year in Botha-Bothe district and we have since hosted three events.

“So far we have managed to activate two districts in Lesotho, Maseru and Botha-Bothe, but we hope to break through into a minimum of five districts this year; in Maseru we have two or three events annually.

“Apart from open events, we host exclusive corporate and school events where we go to schools and have themed events,” he said.

Rannyane indicated that he is the coordinator of the event along with few promoters under him. He said the biggest challenge that he encounters while organising the event is finding people who understand children’s minds.

He said they prefer people who are very passionate and patient when working and caring for kids throughout the event, which is the company’s objective to leave a smile on young people’s face.

Rannyane narrated that he managed to host a small induction for promoters and ushers to spell out what he expects from each one of them in order to be part of the Red family.

“Our objective this year is to build beyond boarders and collaborate with big child-friendly brands from neighboring countries, and actually have every school involved in our drive to change every life through a foundation that was established in 2020 under a company named Red Foundation solely sponsored by Red events,” he explained.

Rannyane added that the Covid-19 pandemic proved to be a big challenge to the company; it has lost the few sponsors it had.

Red events is a serial event entity established in 2016 with the main focus of catering for kids in every aspect as far as entertainment and education is involved, and has been doing so from then till date
