Standard Lesotho Bank hosted a career clinic in Maseru last Friday where different local institutions addressed staff on the issues of career guidance.
The institutions that attended were Lerotholi Polytechnic, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Institution of Development Management and Centre for Accounting Studies.
The chief executive officer of Standard Lesotho Bank Anton Nicolaisen explained that as a bank in Lesotho it is important for it to make a difference where it operates.
Nicolaisen said the bank wants to build and support its staff in order to further their careers and to build a capability in Lesotho and develop the Basotho community through the initiative.
On the other hand, the acting head of people and culture at Standard Lesotho Bank Bataung Mosesi said inviting different institutions for the career clinic was so that the employees could hear what the bank could offer.
“We believe that the partnership we have with the institutions should be able to help us deliver on the mandate,” Mosesi said.
