The Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG) as one of the leading insurance company in Lesotho launched its new logo on Wednesday this week. This co-branding comes after a symbiotic relationship with the global giant insurance Hollard Insurance.

This relationship was established in 2017 after Hollard Insurance became the majority shareholder of the LNIG alongside the government of Lesotho and Molepe.

Hollard is South Africa’s privately-owned insurance group which provides short-term and life insurance as well as investment products to a diverse customer base including individual consumers, commercial entities and corporate clients.

It is known for its expertize and having access to a vast menu of products and technical assistance from a solid network of professionals.

It partnered with LNIG in order to fulfill its investment opportunity in Lesotho. This will improve LNIG’s profile which will now be able to leverage upon the international reputation of Hollard.

LNIG has been in operation for over 40 years and it provides insurance services to Lesotho clients within the emerging economy.

“Today is a great day for us as the Hollard family as we are announcing the co-branding with Hollard insurance. We are pleased in announcing our “Bold Next.” We want to introduce to the market innovative technologies that we need. We want to do this co-branding so that we can provide our customers with better services than we were already providing.

“We have over 40 years’ experience in this market and we remain the leading insurance company in terms of short-term insurance and our life business is also working hard to improve our position in terms of the market share. The professionalism and innovation that we want to make visible with the co-branding with Hollard is actually meant to facilitate more improved services that we want to bring to our customers. We can’t just be stuck with the history heritage but need to prepare for the future. It is only through partnerships as the one that we are having with the co-branding with Hollard. It will bring some dynamic insurance expertize to this market that will be able to develop a very solid platform to build on for the future.” LNIG’s managing director, Mpho Vumbukani said.

He explained that their vision is not only to be the leading but also the favourite insurer in Lesotho, adding that the mode of service is set to appeal to customers in the market.

“LNIG is noting the need for embracing the digital transformation and it has embarked on that journey to facilitate ease in terms of providing service to the customers without clients having to come to their offices physically,” he remarked.

Vumbukani observed: “LNIG is well known for its brand which symbolizes our Basotho hat and the blue and white colors, with the co-branding they are now embracing the purple color which Hollard is known for so that they can pull together and bring this two well known brands for the benefit of their clients.”
