The SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government has welcomed the commitment of the new government of Lesotho to ensure the full and comprehensive reforms process and encouraged the government to keep the momentum in the implementation of SADC decisions.
The Summit meeting held virtually on Monday this week also reminded Lesotho the government to submit a progress report to the next summit in 2021.
Summit received a progress report on the political and security situation in Lesotho by the SADC Facilitator President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, and commended the people of Lesotho for the smooth and peaceful transition of power in May this year.
