Despite the rising number of COVID 19 cases in Lesotho and the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) warnings that the virus is airborne, mourners at some funerals continue to disregard safety protocols like social distancing.

Lesotho so far has recorded a total of 245 cases, 33 recoveries and 3 deaths with 5849 tests conducted to date.

theReporter observed this past weekend that people at some cemeteries were not adhering to WHO safety guidelines of wearing masks, avoiding overcrowding or keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres between one another.

Meanwhile, a group of scientists from various countries have confirmed and informed the World Health Organization (WHO) that Covid-19 is airborne.
