Mojalefa David Motlalane a 49-year old man of Ha Thetsane Maseru, who works at Lesotho Electricity Company as a general manager for strategy planning and projects, appeared before the Maseru magistrate court on May 29, 2020 on charges of stealing more than M12-million.

The accused was given bail of M5 000 and ordered to pay surety of M500 000 which he failed to pay. He is therefore awaiting bail in police custody.

Sub Inspector Mareabetsoe Mofoka of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service public relations office reported on Monday that the accused has been involved in this fraud from the year 2006 to date, and was arrested on May 29 2020.

Investigations on the matter are continuing.
