Mosimoli relaunch a must-see
Lesotho’s very own afro-jazz and dance artist – Mosimoli_Ls – has reinvented herself and will be unveiling her new-look brand at a concert titled ‘Mosimoli & Friends’, to be held at Mimosa Car Wash at Sea Point tomorrow.
The event will see music lovers convene and enjoy a day of groovy tunes and immaculate vibes.
Mosimoli (real name Mabaile Ntaote) broke into the music scene eight years ago. She makes healing and nurturing music and creates bodies of work that are invariably imbued with heartfelt messages that promote unity and harmony.
Due to her dedication to her craft and love for her work, she has always strived to be a better version of herself, in order for her to be a true beacon of kindness that creates art that can be seen as a tool for social transformation and overall growth.
Through ‘Mosimoli & Friends’ her fans will be the first to experience the artist in this new and improved epoch[WU1] of her life.
The event has been advertised as ‘The Rebirth, The Comeback, The Relaunch of Mosimoli’ due to the withdrawn and introspective period she went through, that has allowed her to embark on a meaningful journey towards self-discovery.
During this time, she has granted herself the opportunity to explore her talent and her craft, and truly get to the core of who Mosimoli is, what makes her unique as an artist and what sets her apart from the rest.
“During my journey of self-discovery, there has been a plethora of events that have taken place. I got to try a lot of genres, I got to try and embody a lot of different artists and amidst all that I was privileged to receive a lot of critique. Through all of that, I was able to meet myself; through all of that I was born,” she cooed.
She further explains that this did not only allow her to find herself, but it also allowed her to master the ins and outs of the industry, which in turn has allowed her to find her footing in the entertainment space.
“I have learnt that in this industry, you must constantly strive for growth. And in that, you must learn and unlearn a lot. The ‘Mosimoli’ I will be presenting to you has had to grow, learn and unlearn a lot, regardless of how uncomfortable growth can be,” Mosimoli said.
Event revelers must expect to experience Mosimoli to the fullest, in her purest form. She will be laying herself down completely and will be expressing herself in an extremely authentic manner. She will be telling stories of the heart through timeless music and a selfless performance.
With Bafokeng Rantoa as the MC, they should also expect to be moved by a number of other artists on the line-up, such as The Matrix, Mohato Oa Balimo, Husky and more. There is no set genre to the event, as Mosimoli herself believes in being diverse and open-minded, therefore listeners with different preferences in music will still be able to get together and enjoy the event in harmony.
This event will be held tomorrow, at Mimosa Car Wash, Sea Point.
