The National University of Lesotho (NUL) will celebrate its 80th anniversary on Tuesday.
His Majesty King Letsie III will officiate the event.
According to a statement, the highlights of the day will be the unveiling of a sculpture and a symbolic planting of a tree at the Roma campus by the NUL Chancellor.
The university will also officially launch the Confucius Institute of Agriculture, Science and Technology.
“There will also be community initiatives; tree planting in the six campuses of the university; student competitions and several campaigns.
“Successive monthly activities will include seminars and conferences; dialogues; exhibition showcasing NUL academic programmes, research, and innovations,” the statement noted.
