Botho University inaugurates new campus

Botho University officially inaugurated its new campus at Ha Penapena in Maseru yesterday, marking a milestone in its commitment to providing quality education.

The campus is designed to accommodate a growing student population and offers a range of modern amenities, including advanced classrooms, research labs, and recreational areas.

The area chief of Ha Penapena, Jobo Lesia, said, ”As students will be attending some late classes, it is crucial that we ensure their well-being as they travel to and from school. Therefore,, I urge the local authorities to prioritize the installation of street lights in our community. Well lit streets will not only provide a safer environment for our students, but will also foster a sense of security for their families.”

Dr Sheela Raja Ram, vice chancellor of Botho University, said they have been searching for suitable land to establish this school but met with various numerous challenges. Despite that, she said, they found a partner in Standard Lesotho Bank, whose support has been instrumental in bringing their vision to life.

Queen ‘Masenate Seeiso, said, ”I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have recognized the importance of investing in education. Your support is invaluable, and I urge you to continue your commitment to our youth and their future.”
