Non-profit organisation, Ramela Foundation is set to host a historic horse racing event at the Mohale’s Hoek Race Course on March 15, 2025.
The event, held in celebration of Moshoeshoe ‘s day, marks the founding of the Basotho nation by King Moshoeshoe I in 1824.
A recent statement from the foundation said that the event is poised to be the most prestigious horse racing extravaganza Lesotho’s history, with a staggering prize pool of M500 000.
“Equestrians will compete in two exciting categories: the Triple Race and the Flat Race, offering unparalleled competition and entertainment for participants and spectators alike.
“King Letsie III, an avid horse racing enthusiast, will grace the event as the guest of honour, celebrating the legacy of his esteemed forefather,” the statement read.
