A Lesotho national is today expected to appear before the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate’s Court in the Free State, South Africa, facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and robbery.
The suspect is accused of fatally shooting two police officers who were responding to a house robbery in the area on January 4, 2025. He was arrested by SA police on Wednesday this week as he tried to flee into Lesotho.
Reports say the man was found in possession of a cellphone stolen during the robbery and a firearm suspected to be have been used during the murders.
