The government has kickstarted a national initiative aimed at fostering a culture of cleanliness and environmental responsibility across the country.

In line with this commitment, the first clean-up campaign of ‘Operation Boloka Lesotho le Hloekile’ for the year 2025 will start on Friday this week.

Government secretary, Teboho ‘Mokela, in a recent statement said the campaigns will take place every second Friday of each month.

She noted that ministers will oversee routes assigned to various sectors to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign.

“All principal secretaries are requested to convey this information across their sectors, government agencies, as well as departments, and ensure active participation in this national exercise.

“This structure is designed to entrench a consistent and proactive approach to environmental care throughout the year,” ‘Mokela added.
