High Court Judge Molefi Makara has sentenced Quthing serial killer, Mphatšoe Ntjelo, to an effective 25 years in jail for the murder of his three children and young brother a decade ago, allegedly for rituals.
He was convicted in June this year of the 2014 and 2015 murders.
Ntjelo’s co-accused, his wife ‘Mamotšabi reportedly died in police custody in Quthing in 2015 shortly after their arrest.
Justice Makara yesterday sentenced Ntjelo to 100 years for the four counts of murder. However, the sentences will run concurrently, meaning he will serve aneffective 25 years.
