The Unlocking Love Campaign, in collaboration with Giizmo, Queer WorX, and LBQDesk, will hold a family meeting under different themes on Saturday in Maseru.
The themes are; Unpacking mental health issues, suicide and depression, with a special feature by Queer WorX and Friends.
Queer WorX is a new non-profit social enterprise established to create, maintain, and promote an inclusive environment where LGBTIQ+ people in Lesotho thrive socially and economically, ultimately becoming self-sufficient.
The forthcoming event seeks to foster meaningful dialogue and raise awareness on critical issues affecting marginalised communities in the country.
Key discussions will include: intimate partner violence (IPV) between masculinity and femininity in LGBTQ+relationships; gender-based violence (GBV)in gender non-conforming bodies; IPV and GBV against women and children with disabilities; and legalities affecting mainstream vulnerable groups.
The meeting is expected to be a vital platform for sharing stories, building understanding, and shaping a more inclusive narrative.
