Standard Lesotho Bank in partnership with the Examination Council of Lesotho (Ecol) this week launched a ground-breaking strategic partnership in Maseru, which the bank will fund with M300,000.

This funding is intended to support a variety of activities mutually agreed upon by the two organisations. Among these initiatives, the key activity planned by the bank is to celebrate and showcase the exceptional talent found within Lesotho.

Additionally, a portion of the funds will be allocated towards honouring the national Top 10 achievers in a special celebration scheduled to take place early next year.

Furthermore, the bank is extending its support to the marking process by providing all the different types of pens required by Ecol for this purpose.

This partnership underscores the bank’s commitment to fostering and supporting impactful initiatives within the community.

Rethabile Motsoahae, Standard Lesotho Bank’s executive head of consumer affairs said their primary objective is to ensure that the next generation leads a better and more prosperous life.

“This is why, since 2016, we as Standard Lesotho Bank have shifted our focus towards empowering and supporting the youth. Another significant reason for this strategic shift is the understanding that, statistically, the future prosperity and fortunes of Lesotho are intricately tied to how well the youth will perform and thrive as they grow into adults,” he noted.
