US Charge d’affairs visits Lesotho

The newly appointed US Embassy Charge d’affairs, Thomas Hines will visit the Millennium Challenge Account-Lesotho II (MCA) tomorrow, for his inargural ceremony.

During his visit, Hines will meet MCA-Lesotho II leadership and staff to discuss progress on the implementation of the health and horticultural compact, according to MCA.

The discussions between the leadership and Hines will focus on the accomplishment of MCA-Lesotho II since the entry into force of the compact.

MCA-Lesotho II is the authorised implementing entity of the government of Lesotho, responsible for implementing the health and horticulture compact with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). This is a $300 million grants from the US government to the government of Lesotho that aims to reduce poverty through sustainable, inclusive economoc growth.
