Insurance company, Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG-Hollard) on Tuesday presented its newly appointed brand ambassador, Relebohile ‘Sannere’ Monaphathi, on a two-year contract.
LNIG-Hollard has has in the past appointed legendary Famo female artist Puseletso Seema and late rapper Malome Vector, and Ntate Stunna.
As a brand ambassador, Sannere is expected to represent and advertise the company, support its offerings and act as the embodiment of the firm’s corporate identity through words and actions.
He will also educate younger audiences about matters of financial literacy while entertaining them.
In his remarks, LNIG chief executive officer Mpho Vumbukani said the reason for appointing a brand ambassador is mainly to acknowledge the talent of Basotho.
Vumbukani said LNIG was proud that they will be working together with Sannere while also using his talent to promote the brand.
“We have the full responsibility to ensure that as an insurance company, we guide people on how to handle their financial and insurance matters. As a result, we always do our best that we entertain the nation as well.
“We know how much people enjoy talent both locally and internationally hence working hand in hand with Mme Mpuse on this journey that we have already embarked on. The purpose of today’s event is to let people know we are now taking a step ahead with Sannere as per the slogan ‘#Qatsoha’,” Vumbukani noted.
For his part, Sannere said LNIG has uplifted him from a lower to higher standard.
He stated the significance of investing with LNIG, comparing that with a person sowing a mealie seed that will eventually multiply; meaning the little that has been invested will take the next step ahead #Qatsoha.
Sannere further appealed to other youth to insure with LNIG while they are still alive because they do not know what tomorrow holds for them.
Since the inception of his musical journey in 2018, Sannere has undergone a transformative evolution, marked by collaborations with notable artists and participating in major events.
His artistry is a reflection of a vivid and diverse Sesotho culture. Through poetic lyrics and soulful melodies, he invites listeners on a journey where a beauty of Sesotho language becomes a vessel for emotional depth, connecting the audience to the heart and soul of Lesotho.
LNIG was established in 1977 as a wholly owned parastatal and is one of the oldest insurance companies in Lesotho and is now the country’s leading short-term insurer.
It provides both personal and business insurance products to cover one against misfortunate events and helping to provide with a better future.
