The Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) in partnership with Rotary Club of ‘Mantsopa planted 5,000 trees at Liphookoaneng in the Berea district on
Friday.

This tree planting initiative was supervised by the department of forestry.

During the initiative, Bahlakoana Shelile from RSL said in 2023, RSL
successfully planted 20,000 trees as a celebration of 20 years of its existence.

Shelile said from that success, they advised themselves that each year, they will plant trees.

He indicated that following that decision, Liphookoaneng is the first place they started to plant trees.

“Building on this momentum, RSL, aims to plant 21,000 trees this year,” he said.

The environment director of ‘Mantsopa Rotary club, Makhetha Motṥoari
said with the planting of trees, they have instilled a seed of trust, sustainability and greener futures.

Motṥoari asked the community to take care of those trees.
