Sasai Econet Financial Services (SEFS), a subsidiary of Econet Telecom Lesotho, on Wednesday this week donated groceries, blankets and cooking gas worth nearly M40,000 to ‘Mantšase Children’s Home in Mohale’s Hoek.

SEFS, a leading provider of financial services including EcoCash and EcoSure, says it has always been committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.

Acting general manager Sasai Econet Financial Services, Lehlohonolo Matee, said SEFS remains committed to being a force for good across different communities, and this donation is just one of the many ways in which we aim to make a difference.

“We are deeply honoured to support ‘Mantšase Children’s Home during this monumental year for Lesotho. As we celebrate our country’s rich history and heritage, it is crucial to remember and support those who are less fortunate.

“’Mantšase Children’s Home has been a sanctuary for many orphaned and vulnerable children in Mohale’s Hoek, providing them with care, education, and hope for a brighter future.

“The generous donation from SEFS will ensure that the children have access to essential groceries and household items, enhancing their quality of life and supporting the home’s operations,” he pointed out.

He noted that the donation is a true reflection of SEFS’s unwavering support and dedication to extend a helping hand to those in need, a tradition that has been upheld by Econet for years.

Matee further indicated that SEFS was proud to stand alongside its esteemed customers in celebrating Basotho’s historic milestone by giving back to the community and supporting those who need it the most.

He added that the initiative was dedicated to empower individuals and businesses by providing convenient, reliable, and secure financial services, fostering financial inclusion, and driving economic growth in Lesotho.

On his part, the director of ‘Mantšase Children’s Home, Bokang Lipholo, expressed gratitude for the donation.

“We are immensely grateful to Sasai Econet Financial Services and the entire Econet family for this generous support. The donation will go a long way in ensuring that we can continue to provide for the children under our care.

“It is through support of this nature that we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these young ones,” Liphoto said.
