The 15th conference for the Network of African Parliamentary Committees of Health (NEAPACOH) kicked off in Maseru today.
The meeting will discuss issues that are central to Africa’s efforts towards realising universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals on health.
The two-day conference is being held under the theme: “Towards ICDP 30 and achievement of Universal Health Coverage: Imperative for accelerated implementation and the role of parliamentarians”.
According to a press statement, participants are drawn from more than 30 countries and parliaments in Africa.
Prime minister Sam Matekane is expected to deliver the keynote address.
