Bataung Moeketsi, a home-grown artist that goes by the stage name T.U.R.K recently released his debut album titled ‘Better Late Than Never’, which he calls a highlight of his life story in the form of crisp melodies.

Although Moeketsi ventured into the music industry in 2008, he feels as though he truly received his big break in 2011 after releasing his first mixtape.

Since then, he has dedicated time and effort to improving his craft and building a steady fan base.

The body of work consists of raw and unfiltered lyrics over an array of eccentric beats. T.U.R.K takes listeners along an expedition of past experiences, present events, and future aspirations. It gives listeners an in-depth understanding of who Moeketsi truly is as an artist and as a person.

“Listeners should expect a body of work that touches on an array of topics, ranging from my journey to where I am now, my personal fears as an artist and human and my aspirations,” Moeketsi said.

He also promises that listeners are to experience exceptional storytelling and a well put together rap album that literally anyone will enjoy.

Listeners that have followed his journey from the start, and have been supportive of Moeketsi throughout his entire career will notice a leap in his music style. It has gone from him attempting to make great raps, to him making exceptional bodies of work in general.

New listeners on the other hand, should expect to feel as though they know the artist, and will be left yearning for more.

Moeketsi’s motivation behind this debut album stems from the fact that he feels he has ventured into everything he possibly could, as he already has a plethora of bodies of work under his belt.

This album was his way of throwing himself into the deep end and allowing himself to fully immerge into his career.

Due to him recently releasing the album, Moeketsi is not focusing on releasing any more music for the rest of the year. He is instead going to be focusing on pushing his products – both past and present – and ensuring that they reach a broader audience.

This will be done by accompanying the album with visual content including music videos and visualisers that will provide listeners with an experience that they can fully immerse themselves in.

He is also planning on releasing album related merchandise to give fans tangible memorabilia as the album is only available on digital platforms.

“My team and I are currently looking for ways in which we can milk the cow that is this album, in order to provide pleasure and make the most of it for my ever-growing fanbase.”

Moeketsi is already communicating with producers in terms of producing new music. He is hoping to drop his sophomore album in 2024.

Until then, ‘Better Late Than Never’ is available on all digital platforms.
