Now, wait a minute. Is there anything under the sun that Khotso Moletsane can’t do?

Quizy, as he is popularly known, is a media personality, digital marketer, voice over artist, brand influencer, model and master of ceremonies. Now he is into podcasting, having launched the first episode of his newly formed podcast called Quizy & Friends last week Tuesday.

His first guest was none other than Lesotho’s favourite award-winning Afro-pop artist, Omali Themba.

Talking to theReporter this week, Quizy said the podcast is about profiling people from different fields, be it politicians, musicians, media personalities, or entrepreneurs.

He noted that the platform brings interviewees so that the public gets to know them better and the work they do. Viewers will also get to know them from a different perspective outside their work.

He said he and his team will pick individuals who are public figures just to know their stories as to inspire other people who may relate to the guest’s background.

Quizy further explained that the podcast is going to be as diverse as possible and that the idea is to tackle topics like gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, child abuse and topics that have to do with marriage and relationships.

“The podcast’s main focus is on youth development and to inspire people from all walks of life because as people share their stories, it becomes a bit of an inspiration for someone who would have not believed that certain things are possible.

“We will be touching on topics that deal with insecurities and looking beyond those insecurities and just opening up the space and room for conversations.

“I believe that once the episodes are aired people will want to express their opinions and want to know about a topic better,” he noted.

Apart from podcasts becoming popular around the world and the world going digital, he thought why not create something that is not filtered and can go on for as long as the conversation goes unlike the normal mainstream media.

“I want to change the perspective of how people view life and their ideas of what life should be like.

“It is obviously going to be fun; we will be educating, just like how radio would educate but now it is lengthier and getting to have conversations that are not easy to discuss on radio, get to entertain people and also help grow their knowledge in different fields of life,” Quizy explained.

He said the episodes will be aired weekly on Mondays although the first episode was aired on Tuesday due to unforeseen circumstances.

He further stated that he chose Mondays so that people can start their week with fresh content. So far five episodes have been shot and two more are underway.

“People should brace themselves for a lot of fun and controversies because if we are bringing the who’s who of Lesotho and A-listers it is going to be something to look forward to.

“I believe we have our work cut out for us.  We have to do a lot of posting and passing content around to let people know we are here and this is what we are doing.

“I am impressed with how people have received it. It is heart-warming to see that people are receiving it so well; I haven’t gotten the negativity that I was hoping I would have gotten,” he said.
