The government has revoked the curfew with effect from tomorrow (Friday).
This was announced by police in a statement issued yesterday.
The curfew, which came into effect on 16 May 2023, was meant to curb the high rate of murder and other violent crimes in the country.
It was announced by police commissioner Holomo Molibeli through a gazette titled: ‘International security curfew order notice, 2023’.
“The Lesotho Mounted Police Service, working together with other national security agencies, will deploy other strategies to curb serious crimes countrywide,” said the statement.
