Entertainment and events company Onedot Joint is hosting an event at Onedot called Women’s Month Celebration on August 28.

Onedot is an events venue, restaurant and nightclub situated at Ha ‘Nelese in Maseru.

Onedot Joint managing director Liketso Mosala Joint said the company took an opportunity because he has the spirit to assist school girl children mainly with donating sanitary towels.

Mosala said there are students who are unable to afford them resulting in their dignity being lowered.

“We figured it is women’s month and thought it is better to celebrate with them. Our target for starters is 400 students,” he said.

He said it is a day time event which will start from noon and proceed till late.

He emphasized that it is a free event, where people are expected to donate as little as M30 towards buying sanitary towels.

Mosala told theReporter this week that the initiative is done in collaboration with one brand of sanitary towels called Dear Bella.

The Dear Bella Company’s goal and mission is to provide access to affordable sanitary pads and to empower girls to become active and productive citizens. It was founded by ‘Matefo Mabel Morakeng in 2018.

The company will be at the event to sell the towels to people who will donate and we will distribute accordingly.

“At this event we encourage women to come in large numbers and be well dressed so as to stand a chance to win prices. There will be speakers in the likes of ‘Mathabang Fanyane who will play a role of motivating both women and those who will donate at the event,” he said.

Mosala also said the event will also be graced by the presence of Puseletso McPherson who is a magistrate at the children’s court. She will deliver a speech to those who donate, sponsors and women in general.

Another speaker called Stillo who comes from Stillo Foundation which is line of business of collecting sanitary towels to offer to the girls.

“In terms of music legends, there is Tumisang Mokoai who is known for soul and RnB music, and he will also address the attendees. There will also be local DJ’s,” Liketso revealed.
