Seboche Hospital in Buthe Buthe was officially reopened last Friday after closing down for almost 10 months to undergo renovations.
The re-roofing and other ancillary reconstruction work such as plumbing and electrical wiring were sponsored by Vodacom Lesotho Foundation to the tune of M1.3 million, while the reconstruction work was done by the Lesotho Defence Force Engineering Unit.
Speaking at the reopening of the hospital, Sister Helena Molelle revealed that operations were temporarily affected after its roof ws damaged by severe hailstorms.
Molelle thanked the ministry of health which has always been supporting the hospital.
She also thanked the Christian Health Association of Lesotho for being hospital’s pillar of strength during hard times.
She commended the hospital’s staff for their patience and belief that their jobs would always be safe.
“It is particularly gratifying that the employees are looking forward to resuming work rejuvenated.”
