Senate Ramoroke who is known by the stage name ‘Young Cee’ has released his hot hip- hop single called ‘Mabaka ke mabaka’ featuring King Da Less. The song began streaming online from in June this year.

In an interview with theReporter this week, Young Cee said his song is based on real life routine, depicting that people get killed intentionally and unintentionally.

Besides that, people have lost their beloved ones through different causes of death.  However, it is God’s plan and they should accept since everything happens for the reason.

“With this song I have intended to heal and restore broken souls and show people that everybody goes through the rough path and a lot of afflictions. Therefore, we just have to hang on and have faith in God.

“The message of the song goes to all age group of our listeners because we wrote it to feed every soul and therefore the message is relevant,” he said.

Ramoroke said he met King Da Less at the same event they were booked in. That was when they started connecting and set the date to hit the studio.

Mabaka ke mabaka is our second record and we are planning to release a lot more in the future,” he highlighted.

Young Cee was born in South Africa but raised in Mohales’hoek where he attended school at Paul VI High School from United Primary School in North West.

Now, he aims to further the studies to Limkonkwing University of Creative Technology to upgrade his diploma qualifications to the honours degree.

“I was born on December 24 1996, raised by a single mother who filled me with nothing but love. She taught me everything I needed to know as a child, and supported my music career. May her soul rest in peace,” he recalled.

Young Cee stated that his rap music devotion started way back in 2013 where he would write lyrics even though he did not know what they meant. Now he is a versatile solo artist who is not under any record label.

“I was involved into cyphers, listening to other artists rapping, and that’s where I took notes and noticed how much I had improved since 2014 until now,” Ramoroke said.

Speaking of the challenges he encountered in his journey, he explained that he was always criticised by the audience. However, he did not mind his detractors as he thought they were only bent on testing his patience in music.

“Music has a lot of challenges. Some artists are sneak dissing me even though they don’t mention my name, but I quickly hear that on the record. However, these kind of challenges keep my head high and strengthen my faith,” he added.

To the upcoming artists, Young Cee encourages them that even though music industry is full of ups and downs, and has a rocky road, all they need to stay strong and love what they are doing wholeheartedly.

“I want to urge them that music industry isn’t for bird sized heart. You can’t enjoy the journey without enduring the pain. You should firstly fall in love with your music and real people will take it from there. Lastly, they should go to school to nurture their knowledge and skills,” he advised.

In terms of marketing and selling he said there is a huge progress since now internet have made life easier as there are web=sites created for them to sell their music.

“These websites allow listeners to stream and download using M-pesa or Eco-cash to pay. This says every download or stream counts. The more my music gets downloaded the more money I earn, and there is a means of selling with CD’s.

“I remember back in 2018 selling copies of my project, a lot of people purchased them hence I couldn’t go a day without getting a call. That’s when I realized music is not that bad,” he observed.

In conclusion Young Cee said in five years from now he wants to see his music playing in every corners of Lesotho, healing and saving people’s lives. I addition, he aims to inspire young artists to believe in their dreams.
