Pule Molise will be creating a powerful and reliable network of collaboration among independent vehicle company owners and customers through his new app known as PikApp soon.

PikApp is a hassle free and user-friendly mobile and web enabled courier and deliveries platform to enable independent vehicle companies to be accessible to customers and also a platform for them to reliably get customers for their services.

This week Molise told theReporter that PikApp will be a convenient service provider that will facilitate quality service by ensuring that businesses do peak up through a pick-up and delivery operations.

The 32-year old innovator explained the procedure will be that vehicle companies’ sign up to deliver products on PikApp and then a customer who needs the delivery service will also be required to sign up.

He went on to say that there are two apps, the customer app and the driver’s app.

“A customer fills in the pick-up point, destination, the service sought and description of the goods and services sought in the order form.

“They will then make their payment using mobile phones and then the services will be rendered,” Molise said.

He clarified that it starts with the customer who does an order and states where they want the goods to be delivered to through a submit button.

He explained that the delivery vehicle’s driver will then sign up to deliver the goods on the PikApp. The recipient will have also signed to allow the goo and services to be delivered.

Molise said the app will show the driver the identity of the person seeking services and locate the destination of the goods to be delivered while also depicting the origin of the goods.

The founder said for the process to be as fair as possible for everyone, the drivers will bid for services while the customer will get a notification back on their app for the identity of ther drivers allowing the customer to select the preferred bidder to provide services.

As time goes on, the customer will be able to see the ratings of the driver. A driver with many successful deliveries will get a higher rating on the type of services offered with the conduct of the driver being highly considered.

PikApp was inspired after Molise realised that he needed someone to help transport some materials from Maseru to Leribe.

“I realised there are people who can offer services but they are not known, and the best way to be known as a business man is to do marketing which requires a budget.

“A lot of people do not have capital to market themselves and I thought it was difficult to access service providers as they do not have money to market themselves and be known to the potential customers.

“I thought I should help them through by bringing up an app which they can install on their phones,” he said.

He revealed that PikApp is already registered and began its operations in 2020 but it was painstaking to source commission from the drivers.

Unfortunately, Molise said, the business had to shut down due to running out of funding. It has received support from the Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO) through the small business competition. For that, it will then soon be revived.

According to him what stands out about his business is that the app is easily accessible and easy to use. It is also provided at a low cost.

PikApp is a subsidiary of Tech For All which is a software development company being the parent and sole shareholder.
