Mobile communications company, Vodacom Lesotho has handed over a computer lab complete with 10 personal computers to Tṧehla Primary School at Matsoku in the Leribe district. The facility is worth M300,000.
On behalf of the managing director of Vodacom Lesotho, finance director ‘Mamoorosi Raditapole, said the company appreciates that the success of the children makes the company successful as well.
“We strive to ensure that our customers come first. We create the future because the school children are our future.
“Donating a computer lab and computers shows that we want to help in the children’s future,” she said.
Raditaplole revealed that the computers have internet connection, and appealed for the computers not to be used for school purposes only but also for other significant activities like promoting both Basotho culture and Leribe tourism through social media.
The principal of the school, ‘Mamollele Lethoko thanked Vodacom Lesotho saying that it has contributed immensely to entrenching computer literacy.
Lethoko said all teachers did was to teach students computer studies without actually seeing company.
