By Neo Kolane

Alliance Insurance company held its annual fundraising golf day last week Friday at the Maseru Golf Course.

Alliance fundraising golf day is an annual event with a slogan that says ‘it is more than just golf’, as it is also an opportunity a networking opportunity with different clients and business partners and friends.

The public relations and corporate communication manager of Alliance Insurance, Limakatso Mokobocho says the event is used to raise funds for needy communities around Lesotho.

Mokobocho revealed that Alliance is synonymous with charity work for many reasons.

“We use every chance for our golfers to donate. That is 15 teams participating, with each team having four players.

“In the past we have given as much as M300 000 to different charities to build orphanages and bought equipment for other orphanages.

“Charities and organisations are chosen via the Alliance corporate social responsibility pillars of welfare, education and health.

“This year the chosen pillar was education,” Mokobocho said.
