Moutsoe Mohlalisi is a 23-year old DJ who was born and raised in Mohale’s Hoek district but now resides in Maseru due to school commitments and a pursuit for better opportunities.

Besides being a house music DJ he is also a host on his new podcast called the Ultimate Mega Mix Sounds (UMMS).

Mohlalisi says UMMS is basically about radio podcasts and music. He sees UMMS as a kind of a radio show that he hosts under UMM sounds. The show is mainly based on music, where he reviews music from local producers.

He reckons the platform has gained a lot of recognition as some deejays and producers have come forward requesting to be part of his movement. He was also recently asked to podcast live at an event and this resulted in him receiving much needed recognition.

He has always been a lover of music as he started off as a rapper until 2015 when he was introduced to house music and he instantly was touched by the genre.

Later, he took a leap of faith and ventured into deejaying using his stage name Nobertlive.

Although he never really had the opportunity to perform at bigger events like he aspired to, he did not give up on his dream hence he came to the decision to start Ultimate Mega Mix Platform.

He mixed tracks ones a week and shared them among his friends and music platforms such as Spotify.

For unknown reasons, he took a break from Ultimate Mega Mix Platform and it is during that time that he came up with the idea to start the podcast.

Speaking to theReporter Nobertlive, noted: “The plan is to have a podcast which consists of radio which I have already implemented. This is whereby I will introduce a certain topic which relates to music then discuss it. For future prospects, I plan to distribute music as well.”

He also highlighted that he feels a great urge of changing lives of Basotho in the entertainment industry. This, he wants to achieve through creation of talent for jobs as the platform grows.
