Hip-Hop and RnB artist Basia Makati, affectionately known to his fans as Leinad, this week released his new single titled ‘Would You’.

The song features local female vocalist, Ntebo Lerotha, a rising star who is making her debut as a singer.

In an interview with theReporter, Makati said the song is about an insecure girl who has her boyfriend’s back but is doubtful about their future.

He said in the song the girl confronts her boyfriend regarding her pessimistic attitude.

He said the song was inspired by the fact that he wanted to teach people to be cautious when indulging into relationships and ensure that “they are not used or cheated.”

He told this paper that he started his career in music in 2018 when one of his friends introduced him to the studio.

“Before my current single, ‘Would You’, I released one of my popular songs titled ‘Circles’ brought me into the lime light in the country and across the borders. That is what I am hoping my current single will achieve, Listeners are loving the song and I’m really thankful.

“I am also working hard to market the song. It takes time for people to recognize and accept your music. I am a music lover and I am positive that before end of the year me and my team will already be working on something bigger and better,” he said.

Makati said his musical career is inspired by many good artists from different genres but mostly he looks up to American Hip-Hop artist NF.
