The traffic section of the Pitso Ground police station has been temporarily closed after three traffic cops tested positive for COVID-19.

Although the premises have been shut down, police say other services will continue to be offered by phone, to minimise physical contact.

The police further inform the public that all those who need services should dial these numbers:
22 322 099/ 27 023 035/ 22 317 263/ 800 22 046

Meanwhile, police are reminding the public that the country is still in the blue level of Covid-19 restrictions. This after observing that people still do not comply with the regulations and continue to move around between 10:00pm and 4:00am.

“It has come to the attention of the police that there are pub operators who illegally operate during these restricted hours. Fourteen arrests have made in connection with these unlawful acts and the suspects appeared before the courts of law this Monday.”
