BeeStings Production is releasing a poetry book tomorrow tilted Echoes of the Kingdom meant to represent the voice of Basotho living in the country.

BeeStings Production was founded in December 2017 by Lerato BeeSting Mohale, a 26-year old Mosotho who is passionate about literature. The production aspires to get Basotho stories published and known.

In an interview with theReporter, the shareholder of BeeSting Production, Sera Mokhele said that the book is a collection of 24 poems written by 10 local poets.

Mokhele also mentioned that the book is divided into themes of love, death, spirituality as well as freedom.

He revealed that the book is a compilation by the local poets in the Kingdom for the Kingdom.

He pointed out that the authors were the ones who came up with the categories. The preferences of the authors were different but were narrowed down to four categories while still classified in the same topics.

Mokhele, who is also a quantity surveyor, revealed that the readers should expect fun, heartfelt pride of Basotho “because they have a voice and want to be heard.”

“Different emotions and raw poetry will also be felt within the poems which are written in English,” Mokhele told.

He explained that as BeeSting they tried to involve all age groups who are looking for raw talent. But there was only minimal support for children from their parents, thus hampering increased participation.

Those who have enrolled in the exercise are aged 19 and above.

BeeSting is also known for publishing books like Purpose Forgotten,a novel that highlights social issues that relate to use of substances, dependence, love, family, abuse as well as faith.

It is entirely relating to issues that are encompassed to provoke thoughts and touch lives.

The Purpose Forgotten book struggled to get published locally but ended up being published in South Africa.

That is the reason behind the establishment of BeeSting Productions.

Mohale told the publication that the aim is to empower local writers and afford them the opportunity to get their works published.

“The company’s motto is ‘leaving a legacy of words’, that is what I want to do, leave a legacy of word,” Mohale explained.

The production has also published a poetry book called ‘Banna lea ea’, ‘What Grace looks like’ and ‘Falsely accused’.

BeeSting compiled the whole new book and it will on sale from today.
