The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) this week announced the appointment of Molise Ramaili as the interim chief executive officer of LNDC.
In a statement issued by the corporation, LNDC stated that Ramaili has a clear vision to ensure diversification of industry in Lesotho and will acquaint himself with LNDCs strategy, processes, governance structures and staff, in the process also exploring out of the box approaches,
The statement explained that Ramaili brings a wealth of corporate experience from diverse sectors including the financial sector.
It also stated that he has served as both chief operations officer and later chief compliance officer at Lesotho Post Bank.
“He has also served as both chief operating officer at Letshego Financial Services, head of legal and compliance and company secretary at First National Bank. This following a promotion from the position of legal and compliance manager.
“This was proceeded by his role at Vodacom Lesotho as the senior specialist legal contracts and his first job as legal officer at the Water and Sewage Company. LNDC has a big role to play of empowering Basotho to convert good ideas into bankable project. He believes the experience he has brings from the banking sector will enhance LNDC’s development finance role of offering financing solutions to support private sector led industrial development and economic diversification,” the statement read.
Ramaili commenced the role on Monday May 24.
