King Letsie III launched the Integrated Catchment Management Project (ICM) at Ha Koporale in the Thaba- Tseka district on Friday.

Five ministries pledged their commitment to the project, namely local government and chieftainship; forestry, range and soil conservation; tourism, environment and culture; agriculture and food security; as well as the ministry of water.

Speaking at the launch, the minister of local government and chieftainship Tsoinyana Rapapa lauded the commendable work of restoring water, soil and natural resources as well as wetlands.

Rapapa committed to support all efforts put into restoring these resources. He also pledged to support all custodians of the project and resources, such as principal chiefs and area chiefs.

“The district administration office will also support the project, so will herdboys.”
