By Teboho Serutla

Following the demise of Kenrick Cockerill who succumbed to illness in October 2020, a new Standard Lesotho Bank Chief Executive, Anton Nicolaisen has been appointed, effective from March 1, 2021.

Nicolaisen has a successful 32-year career history with the Standard Bank Group. He fulfilled a number of key leadership roles within the Bank and has proven skills and abilities to lead a financial services organization in the stature of Standard Lesotho Bank.

In his previous appointment, Nicolaisen was the Provincial Head, Client Coverage at Standard Bank South Africa, responsible for Free State and Northern Cape provinces.

In a statement issued today, the Standard Bank Board extended its appreciation to Thabiso Tsenki, who has been the acting Chief Executive for Standard Lesotho Bank while the recruitment process for a substantive Chief Executive was underway.

In conclusion, the bank would dedicate its appreciation to the staff, customers and other stakeholders for their unwavering support during the transition period.
