The ministry of social development, in collaboration with the ministry of forestry, today wound up a two-day initiative to help youngsters discover ways of making a living through methods like agriculture, business and their own talents.
The workshop was held at Itekeng Primary School, in Maseru, was was attended by youth from the Lithabaneng constituencg.
It was aimed at nurturing participants from a young age to discover their talents and how to create income out of them, as well as adapting to innovative business and agricultural methods.
One of the participants, Sekoati Mapeshoane, said ministry of forestry official Mokete Bereng, piqued his interest when he told them that his ministry was giving out fruit trees for free to Basotho.
An official of the ministry of social development, Rethabile Rathebane, said the forestry officers would assist the youth with project ideas that would enable the youth to find ways to tackle poverty.
