Lerotho Polytechnic (LP) has released a statement announcing the passing of the institution’s bursar, Leornard Musarurwa, who died yesterday after a short illness while awaiting his Covid-19 test results.
The school has commended Musarurwa for his hard work and dedication to his job, and has its condolences to the deceased’s friends, family, colleagues and loved ones.
LP Rector, Professor Sepiriti Tlali, reveals in the statement that the Polytechnic is cleaning and disinfecting the premises in line with National Covid19 Secretariat (Nacosec ) guidelines. He also notifies the public and students that the premise is off limits except for the on- campus residents until January 2021.
“However, you are still expected to work from home. In this moment of grief and sorrow, we are all requested to take precautionary measures and follow the ministry of health and Nacosec guidelines to halt the spread of the virus for our own sake and for the sake of our loved ones,” Tlali said.
