The International Organization for Migration (IOM) held a two-day workshop on rights violations that focused on human trafficking.

The workshop, which was held, last week at a local hotel, began on Tuesday.

IOM is an intergovernmental organisation that provides services and advice concerning migration to governments and migrants, including internally displaced persons, refugees, and migrant workers.

In September 2016, IOM became a related organisation of the United Nations.

The workshop incorporated a presentation that explained what human trafficking was and how it happens.

Human rights violations in general and common indicators of the migration growth rate were also part of the presentation.

The IOM gave details regarding why people end up wanting to migrate. The presentation looked at migration trends at local and global levels.

The goal of IOM is to ensure safe and humane migration for all. The organisation also wants to ensure safe migration for all people leaving their home countries to work elsewhere.

The IOM trains government officials to identify human trafficking indicators and assists with border control.
