Public transport operators and the government are still locked in talks aimed at resolving some of the problems currently pervading the industry.
Following an agreement between the two parties which culminated in the passenger carriers suspending their stay away on October 22, the government committed to halt the mobile traffic court while the 10 taxi drivers/owners who were in detention have since been released.
The public relations officer of Maseru Regional Taxi Operators (MRTO), Lebohang Moea told theReporter yesterday that some of the issues under negotiation are pirate taxis allegedly owned by police officers, unlicensed vehicles, and undocumented drivers.
Moea said further talks will be held after the meeting that was held at the Government Complex last week.
