The Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) last week celebrated Customer Experience Day.
Customer Experience Day is celebrated on October 16 every year. It was founded by the Customer Experience Professional Organisation.
Speaking at the event, LEC head of customer services department, Lehlohonolo Tsikinyane, reminded LEC staff to always put customers first.
Tsikinyane emphasised that they have a duty to always make sure that customers leave their premises feeling like kings.
“It is important to always make the customer a priority because they are the ones who bring in business.”
At the same occasion, LEC managing director Liteboho Ramoqopo encouraged staff to maintain a good attitude at all times because LEC survives because of their customers.
“We have to make it a point that no customer wastes precious on our premises without anyone attending to them. Even if you do not work at the customer services department, it is still your responsibility to make sure the customer is taken care of, and to learn about customer services. Our image is severely dented out there and we need to fix that,” he said.
As part of the celebrations, the managing director of LEC spent the day at the customer services front desk interacting with clients.
