Nedbank Lesotho commemorated King Letsie III’s 57th  birthday by handing over personal protective equipment worth M60 000 to Scott Hospital in Morija.

Speaking at the ceremony yesterday, the managing director of Nedbank, Nkau Matete stated that the bank has relations with the King, as it usually hands over gifts on his birthday but due to COVID-19 it had to be celebrated belatedly.

Matete said they know how important Scott Hospital is to the King as he was born there.

“It is courtesy of the King that there have been improvements at the hospital,” Matete stated.

In response, King Letsie III gave thanks for the PPE which he said would go a long way towards helping the hospital, emphasising that it is close to his heart.
