Thabo Khasipe has announced his resignation as chief executive officer of both the National Covid-19 Secretariat (Nacosec) and the Disaster Management Authority.
Khasipe declined to disclose the reasons for his resignation, claiming he did not want the limelight on himself but focus should rather be on Nacosec’s operations and the strides it has made in containing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said he was returning to his substantive posting as chief executive officer of the Lesotho Revenue Authority.
Nacosec was established in July, taking the reins from the National Emergency Command Centre in the fight against Covid-19.
