Mammoth Employee Benefits (MEB) board of directors appointed Manthati Phomane to be the next acting principal officer and interim CEO. This was announced by MEB, which said the current principal officer, Teboho Makoetlane will be stepping down on October 31.

MEB board chairperson, Tṧepo Polisa, says under Makoetlane’s leadership, MEB continued to be a leading home grown medical aid service provider in Lesotho and a thought leader in the improvement of Basotho’s health and wellness. He says during Makoetlane’s tenure, MEB continued to increase its membership, expand its staff, and strengthen its reputation of delivering service of a high standard to its clients.

“On behalf of MEB Board of Directors we thank him for his contribution and wish him well in his future plans.

“The board and I are confident MEB will continue to make substantial contribution to conversations about the future of health care and wellness in Lesotho, especially as stakeholders seek ways to make the health system work better for them in the ongoing and uncertain environment,” Polisa concluded.
