Nedbank Lesotho officially launched a new agency on Thursday at Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre as part of strategically expanding the bank’s distribution network and services to all Basotho.

The agency opened to the public on Thursday this week and will operate from 08:30am – 3:30pm on weekdays and 08:30am – 11:00am on Saturdays.

Speaking at the launch event, the managing director of Nedbank Lesotho Nkau Matete expressed gratitude for the development, which he said is the new way the bank is meeting the nation’s banking and financial service needs.

Matete said the development will provide convenience and bring in proximity where people live and work. He said the bank and the Masianokeng staff are committed to giving a delightful experience to clients, and helping them find ways to partner with the bank in achieving their aspirations.

“I am glad to witness the opening of the Nedbank Lesotho Masianokeng agency. We are proud as a local bank to have helped make the dream of Lesego Holdings a reality” Matete said.

Matete thanked the staff and their business partners for their commitment in bringing this new initiative to life as one of many firsts. He went on to acknowledge their partnership with Lesego Holdings as an innovative group of local business people who saw an opportunity to invest in commercial retail through the new Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre.

The centre is one of a number of large scale property developments in the country that have been financed by Nedbank Lesotho as a corporate banking provider.

Lesego Holdings shareholder, ‘Matokelo Seturumane expressed gratitude to Nedbank Lesotho for giving the much needed funding during construction of the centre, and said she hopes they continue to have more partnerships in the future.

She described the mall as a dream which has finally come to fruition, showing that Nedbank has taken it upon them as a bank to better the lives of Basotho.
