The Lesotho Correctional Services’ (LCS) Juvenile Training Center (JTC) received a donation of books from the Rotary Club of Maloti on Tuesday this week. The Rotary Club of Maloti handed over four boxes full of books to the JTC.

The president of the Rotary Club, Yande Mothae said that they are happy to donate books to the JTC as youth in rehabilitation too deserve education as they are the future of the nation.

A young JTC detainee had this to say: “We are very grateful to Rotary Club for donating these books to us. We promise to read them and utilise them to improve our education. It means a lot to us to realise that regardless of our past mistakes, people still believe we deserve a chance at a better future.”

LCS Commissioner, Majara Chabana thanked the Rotary Club for the donation, and promised that the books are in good hands.
