The councilor of Ha Leronti died instantly after being gunned down by unidentified gunmen while on his way to Mokupung on Wednesday.
This was confirmed by police public relations officer Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli to theReporter this afternoon. He said the assailants are still unknown and, so are the reasons for the attack.
Mopeli further said police are still investigating the matter and that more details will be known in due course.
