Showcasing Lesotho through photography

Photography is one of the creative ways to promote the country and as such, Pere DStv Agency has come up with a Mobile Contest and wants all lovers of photography to take part.

Pere DStv Agency is a Pere Business Solution Agency, a local business that specializes DStv related Services and connected services that includes expertise in business start-ups project consultancy, marketing strategies, management consultancy and procurement.

Pere DStv Agency like all other Pere Business Solutions initiatives are all about creativity and innovation based on delighting customers and uplifting the communities while promoting the country.

Khotso Molapo, the general manger of Pere DStv Agency told theReporter that the DStv Mobile Photo Contest 2020 is one of the initiatives to create excitement in the market place, especially during these trying times that the world and the country are facing. More initiative ares loading.

“The aim is to create excitement for our followers while promoting the country, but at the same time rewarding our customers through innovative and creative campaigns. Pere Business Solutions through Pere DStv Agency hopes to achieve brand affinity as well through this campaign,” he said.

Molapo continued to say that it has nothing to do with tourism, “but it would be great to partner with the companies that promote tourism in Lesotho as we believe tourism brings the much needed jobs that in turn benefit our agency.

“Pere DStv Mobile Photo Contest 2020 is open to all lovers of photography; the theme is Lesotho Haeso-Lesotho my home. Photos should showcase the country’s beauty. All photos should be original and belong to the entrant as we will not be held liable for copyright infringement.

“All photos to be posted on Pere DStv and Connected Services Facebook page from September 7 to September 30 for public voting through ‘likes’ on the Facebook page. The winners will be announced on October 5 and promoted via Pere DStv and Connected Services Facebook page. The 1st prize is M3000, second prize M1500 while the third prize is M500.”

Pere Business Solutions supports Little Feet Foundation, a non-profit organisation providing psychological services to underprivileged children.

Local photographer Balekane Katleho Moshabesha of Khubetsoana told theReporter that that he entered the competition because he wanted to showcase his professionalism in photography so the rest of the world can acknowledge how beautiful Lesotho is.

“It is a wise way of attracting tourists into our Mountain Kingdom.”

Moshabesha said he saw leaned about the competition from a post on Facebook.

“Photography offers an opportunity to view our world differently through the lens. To me it means viewing expressions and emotions through pictures and analyzing how the object shot felt at the moment of the shoot.”
