As part of Kong’s yearly tradition of releasing an experimental project (EP), he released ‘Laws of the Jungle’ on July 4 as a birthday present to his little brother who plays a big role in the selection of his music that goes public.
Upon its release, the feedback has been amazing, ranking at 633 streams in less than a week on audiomack.
This is Kong’s third EP after he released one last year called The Kong EP which had the hit song Focus and featured the rapper L-Tore.
He, however, did not stop there; in first week of April, he released a mixtape called Cavetalk that had jams like DESI (Don’t Even Sweat It)
Born on April 24 1993, Retśelisitsoe Nthaha has been scribbling music since the tender age of 13. He tells theReporter that he got more into the music industry in his early high school days.
“However, I started recording and releasing in 2014, it was a good run being one of the biggest groups at the Vaal University of Technology.
“I came back to lesotho in 2014 and I have been working on a sound and released EP’s which have helped me gauge exactly how people receive the sound I have acquired so far.
He continued to say that the theme of ‘Laws of the Jungle’ is loyalty, power, respect, love and faith.
“These are the only things one needs to survive this jungle of life. In order to keep on going, one must have faith so as to achieve one’s goals and dreams. Love, faith and respect should be given to family and friends so they can give the same energy back. That is how one obtains power to be the king of the jungle.”
Kong concluded by enthusing that he has been honoured to be part of one of the coolest music videos by Lu Srenk’s song titled Wakeup Call.
