Deputy Prime Minister Mathibeli Mokhothu says government is commitment to working harmoniously with the media in the fight agants the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mathibeli made this commitment at a consultative meeting with media managers in Maseru on Friday.
He acknowledged the crucial role that plays in the dissemination of messages that educate and inform the public.
One of the challenges that came under the spotlight is that advertising revenue has plummeted, and that the economic impact of COVID-19 has led media organizations to lay off and furlough journalists and stop print operations, with some at risk of extinction.
